Yay for May! It's my birthday month and therefore my favorite month of the year. Ha!
This year I get a two-fer as my birthday is on Mother's Day here in the US. Woot! You know we're going to Benihana for a double celebration. :)
Now that The Retroact Saga has been updated, it's time to move on to updating the Open Door Love Story novels with new covers and improved insides. That should happen within the next week or so!
My plan is to get all of my books into paperback and up on Ingram Spark by October. That means I need to purchase ISBN's and those puppies are expensive! So, while I've got new covers and formatting for paperbacks, I can't publish them until I have ISBN's and I blew my writer budget on new covers! (I'm not sad about it, so whatevs.)
My script writing focus for this month is to work on the screenplay for Crossing. Hopefully, I can knock out at least four episodes since I have, y'know, already written the book on it. *wink wink*
I'm also reading and re-reading several Urban Fantasy Romance novels and studying beats throughout an entire series. It's been a little while since I've written Urban Fantasy or a series, so I thought a refresher was in order. In addition, I changed my mind on how serious I wanted the series to be. I just ... it has to be funny for me to care about writing it. So, doom and gloom and laughter - my usual.
The OTHER thing I've started this month is a non-fiction geared blog called www.staceylearnshowto.com where I'll be posting short posts daily and one longer post each week about a creative project I'm researching and working on. I'm aiming to learn 43 new things in my 43rd year of life.
That's all, and plenty!!!!!, for May. I'll be back when the new Open Door covers are ready to be released into the wild.
