For the past year, I've been co-writing with one of my best friends, Becca Ayers. We've written the first season of a TV show that is currently with a new streaming channel that is launching soon. That's all I can say about that!
We are also co-writing the TV series of my novel Crossing and will submit that once it's finished to the new streaming channel and possibly other outlets. And because neither one of us have enough projects going on, we are polishing up Becca's screenplay that she's been working on for about a year.
I feel so lucky to have started co-writing with Becca! We've been great friends since we were 8 and our personalities have always been complementary. We were pleased to discover our writing/working styles are complementary as well.
On the novel front - I have new covers coming for the Zellie and Penny books! Glimpse is 8 this month! I can hardly believe it. :)
Crossing, Diving In, and My Remedy are also getting new covers. I finally found some that are the exact right mix of New Adult Romance and NOT PORN. Ha! I have three more books planned in that series, but they are not my first priority at the moment.
I have started and quit writing quite a few novels over the last year. I have a ton of great ideas, but have been lacking motivation. I took on a lot of jobs substituting in the kids' school district and also volunteering in their classes and with the PTO - I burnt myself out. I'm slowly disentangling myself from all of my volunteer obligations (except the library - I love my two hours shelving books every week! Sooooooooooo calming!!) and have decided to only sub for a handful of people at the three schools I enjoy working at.
I've been learning how to use Scrivener and am going to write a planned Urban Fantasy Witchy Romance series using dictation.
That's what's happening in April, 2018! Stay tuned for further updates.
